ive been working on a cherry farm as a picker for a few weeks and my lovely nails are now split and gross, after falling off a 25 foot ladder today i want to relax and soak my nails to repair them, i moved a little while ago so all my nail creams and stuff are packed, can anyone recommend some household, run of the mill, basic ingredients to put in my nail bath to make them a little stronger, cleaner and smoother? (cherry juice has given them a slight tinted reddy purple underneath the nail, so i want them to be white again.)At home nail care?
First rub lotion into each nail and cuticle. Then soak your nails in warm soapy water for 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe clean and rub some olive oil on each nail and cuticle and let it absorb the oil and moisture. After this wash your hands (I use a nail brush but you could just use a cloth) getting each nail clean of oil. Then you can clip and shape your nails. They should feel better the first time, but continue to do this every week to build stronger nails. If you do decide to buy products to help you along, I would recommend one item for certain: Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream. That product is a miracle. At home nail care?
