Use gloves or change what your using to a less harsh cleaner. Could be you have a deficiency and it's causing your fingernails to change color...How does one take care of their nails while working in the kitchen? as in to keep them from discolouring?
Get some of those yellow rubber gloves. I use them to wash dished to prevent dish-pan fingers.
