i like my hands
so i want to take advantage of that
they're really tiny.. i wear American Size 4 shoes, so that should give you an idea of the size of my hands
any tips on how to make my hands look their absolute BEST would be appreciated
anything with stuff you can get a home in your average home is even more appreciate, but i don't mind cosmetics if necessary
also...how do you file your nails to look square-ish? when ever i do it, some of my nails, they look square, like the whole thing, but the white part that's connected to the pink part is curved so the corners are really weak and break easily and anyway i don't like how it looks so what do i do to make it look good?
the cheaper the better.. i'm a teen and have a limited budgetHelp with HAND care and nail care?
Not sure where abouts your from, but if you have a Lush store near you, I'd advise buying a hand cream called ';smitten'; which smells of almonds and is a really good hand cream. They do another called ';lemony flutter'; which is lemon scented and is alot thicker and great for when you want to hand massage-
Get your hand and nails done just once- but watch like a hawk! they will wash, massage and moisturise your hands, and then you see how they do what they do, and you repeat at home. Massages are great, don't knock 'em till you tried 'em! when they apply polish, talk to them about tips and trends, they will offer help as its something they love and are studying/have studied and you can use these tips at home- I do all this, but with my skin as thats what I want to keep looking at its best/my best point, I have learnt so much by just getting facials and picking up tips, samples and advice.
Aveda are great for hand and nail treatments and if you get your hair coloured, they throw in free hand massages (if you get it cut, its a head and shoulder massage)its pricey so get it for a present rather then buying yourself) they also sometimes give out free samples of some of the products used.
Khiels also do a good hand salve which works well for brisk temperatures but try to look for a hand cream that has SPF in it and is easy to carry around, these will feel slighly more greasy as the SPF naturally exists in oils rather then powders, and you will need to reapply as the day goes by (but as you wash your hands it wont feel as 'icky' as when you have to reapply SFP all day on your shoulders and arms!) but doing this, will help massivly against the aging process and brown spots.Help with HAND care and nail care?
A good moisturizer is Hempz jasmine and cucumber lotion-- it makes my hands so incredibly soft, people tell me all the time. You can probably find it at a hair or beauty place in the mall. As for your nails, just get acrylics if you can afford them; they're so much easier than growing and filing your nails all perfect.
Also, a good tip for beautifying your hands is putting on hand lotion, then wrapping your hands in a warm, moist washcloth for five minutes. It'll help them absorb all the moisture.
Filing: Leave your nails to grow a bit, then cut it to a square shape and then give yourself a manicure.
Put some polish in a clear colour. So it doesn't stand out.
Always keep your hands clean.
