Nail care help please?

how to stop little bits of skin growing around nails

also what do you do to your nails to make them look nice

thanksNail care help please?
Get a cuticle stick (you get them in many nail kits) and gently push them back. It doesn't hurt so don't worry :P

I would go for a french manicure. Get some pink, white and clear nail polish. First put on the pink, then do the white tips. If you find this difficult, cut out little white paper arches on thin paper. Press it down onto nail, so that only the white bit you want painted shows. Perhaps use a little double sided tape to keep it in place. Afterwards peel it off then add a coat of clear, so that it blends in.

Hot pink nail polish also looks fab :)Nail care help please?
You can't stop the skin from growing around your fingernails. The cuticles (the name for that skin) protect the nail from dirt and bacteria, so you don't want to cut them off. It's better to just push them off of the nail. But if you must trim the skin, get it professionally done so you don't get infected.

If you want to do something that looks nice but not use nail polish, get a buffer. Usually, they look like a nail file but are made from sponge-y material. Both sides have different coloured files. One is to smooth out the nail surface and the other is to buff the nails, making them shine. You can get them to shine so much that it even looks like you've got nailpolish on. It's very neat. Also, file the nails flat on the top and smooth out the corners, so it's kind of square-ish. This is the classical look and good for everybody.
Get a vat of Blistex Lip Medex (Cooling Relief for Lips), and put a substantial amount of this substance on the tip of your affected finger. Rub it on and around the nail, especially at the cuticle. Make sure it all gets absorbed into your skin, and then do it again.

Go to sleep and, the next morning, look at your nails. Voila!
I go get them done once a week, makes them look damn good!
