If i had my fingernail removed by a doctor how should i thake care of the open nail bed?

Wrap it with gauze. Don't immediatly immerge it in hot water. Make sure you clean it with soap and water everyday.If i had my fingernail removed by a doctor how should i thake care of the open nail bed?
I'm sure they will tell you when you go to get it removed.
