Dont use them to try and open anything #1
Other than that you just need to clean underneath them as you would have to your real nails so no bacteria builds up, make sure you do not keep them submerged in washing soals for long periods, and be careful not to catch them on something that might pull them lose from your nails.
Then just make appointments to go back and have them filled in as your nails grow and your good to go :)
How do you like having them so far ? Is this your first time ?Best ways to care for acrylic nails?
1 - don't use them as tools to open things eg ring pulls on cans I use a teaspoon under it or a coin if I'm out somewhere if that makes sense
2 - don't pick at them if they start lifting at the sides
3 - use gloves when washing up etc
4 - use solar oil around your cuticle bed and on your nail as it penetrates through to your own nail underneath and makes it more pliable so if you do knock them your own nail will 'flex' more and not break your acrylic 1
5 - go and get them infilled and backfilled regularly I go every 2-3 weeks it just depends how quickly your own nails grow.
Just keep them clean underneath, and go back in two weeks for your fill in. Easy.
Don't do any washing up! I convinced my hubby that I couldn't wash up otherwise they'd come off - we now have a new dishwasher :D
Merciless? Yes.
Cruel? No! He claims he's 'too tall' to wash up!
I don't do anything to mine, just go back for maintainence every two weeks.
OPI Avoplex replenishing oil. I was told to oil cuticles every day and rub it in well (plus is smells gorgeous)
Other than that, keeping them clean and going back for regular appointments.
wear rubber gloves while washing dishes, have maintainence 2-3 weeks. use acetone free nail polish.
